When my brother asks me if I having questions for people he is interviewing and/or meeting. I never have anything clever.

Colin Meloy? ummmm… ask him why he doesn’t write more songs about sailors?

Chuck Klosterman? ask him what his deal is with John Ritter.

Norman Reedus? no idea. ask him why he’s so pretty.

These are all real life examples, and sure the deck is stacked against me because he has days or even weeks to think about the questions, and I get put on the spot, but still. I once asked what Jon Stewart smelled like. I imagine it was like cinnamon and hope.
